Trump vs. Powell---This is Comical!!!

This would be comical if it did not have important economic and financial consequences. The Trump administration and members of Congress are attempting to use "cost overruns" and "gross mismanagement" in the construction of the Fed headquarters as grounds to remove Fed Chair Powell. Meanwhile, the Trump team and Congress falsely assured the American public that the "Big Beautiful Bill" would not increase future budget deficits, although the CBO and other institutions claim it would add $4 trillion. If mismanagement is a valid reason for removing officials in government, then every member of Congress and the Trump budget and economic team should also be removed, as they voted for and approved a budget deficit exceeding $2 trillion.
